Volunteer Stories

A group of our garden volunteers have visited the Ardagh Community Trust to collect a very special award. This summer, assessors from Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) visited the Hospice Gardens to see some of our volunteers hard at work and learn about what we do.

We were thrilled to be awarded Level 5 ('Outstanding') as part of the RHS 'It's Your Neighbourhood' Award, presented by Cllr Henry Michallat ASFAV.

Our Head Gardener, Anneke, said: "The award recognises the contribution made by volunteers to maintaining community gardens, and our community is a special one that includes patients, their families and visitors and our staff.

"It was really lovely to celebrate so many amazing community gardens across Bristol," she added.
