Hospice Volunteering

Our Hospice in Brentry is a very special place - and that's all down to the volunteers and staff who work there. Our volunteers get involved in supporting all our clinical and service teams. You'll quickly see how your few hours a week help make a difference.

See below for further information about the different volunteer opportunities at the Hospice or apply now.

You'll help keep the Inpatient Unit reception running smoothly, offering a warm welcome and a calm presence to patients, visitors, and staff alike.

Whether you're answering phone calls or greeting people as they arrive, you'll be a friendly first point of contact.

This is an evening and weekend role, making it a good fit for someone who's available outside of standard working hours.

Inpatient Unit Volunteer

As a volunteer on our Inpatient Unit, you'll play a vital role in supporting our clinical teams.

You'll help with simple but meaningful tasks: serving refreshments to patients and visitors, preparing meal trays, and clearing away crockery and cutlery. You'll also bring something less tangible but just as important: your ability to listen, to talk, and to simply be there to support at a difficult time.
