Community Engagement

Here for the diverse communities across our region

Building partnerships and working with underserved communities is something that's really important to us. To help develop and strengthen these links, Muna works as our Community Engagement Coordinator.

The aim of our community engagement work is to:

  • Build new and strengthen existing partnerships with local communities
  • Increase understanding of our local underserved communities and enable better access to Hospice services
  • Build awareness of our services

Muna says: "My main aim is to spread the word that St Peter's Hospice is for everyone and make sure communities are aware of the huge level of support there is for people coping with life limiting illness and for their families."

Our plans for 2024 are to:

  • Invite local communities to drop in events at the Hospice where visitors can find out more about our services
  • Go out to events and build partnerships
  • Have a presence at cultural and religious events and festivals
