Meet our Management Team

St Peter's Hospice is managed day-to-day by our Executive Team, headed by our Chief Executive.

Frank Noble, Chief Executive

Frank Noble

Frank joined St Peter’s Hospice as Chief Executive in 2019. He enjoyed a full career in the Royal Engineers, including 12 years working in the 'business-side' of Defence. Frank was awarded the Queen's Commendation for Valuable Service for his contribution to the Northern Ireland peace process. His final role was Managing Director of the Defence training estate, covering the whole of the UK and the overseas bases.

Before joining St Peter's Hospice, Frank was the Operations Director for Clifton College and published a book, ‘Real Leadership: Through the Heart’. In his spare time, Frank volunteers with the Bristol Army Cadet Force, supports Bristol Bears rugby and is a third generation Chelsea FC supporter.

Chris Benson, Director of Patient Care

Chris Benson

Chris trained with the Bristol and Weston School of Nursing, qualifying as a Registered Nurse in 1988. Since then she has spent most of her career working in palliative care, mainly with St Peter’s Hospice. She has worked as a Team Leader in the Inpatient Unit, a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the community, a Macmillan Nurse in a general hospital and as a Day Services Manager. She is also a qualified teacher and has worked as a teacher of palliative care for three years.

Chris is an Honorary Associate of the Foundation of Nursing Studies and is particularly interested in person-centred cultures of care. Chris became our Director of Patient Care in 2015, leading all patient care departments in delivering safe, high-quality services.

Jayne Clarke, Director of Income Generation

Jayne Clarke

Jayne joined us in 2019, coming from the RNLI where she was the Head of Marketing and Media and Director of their two commercial subsidiaries. Prior to that, Jayne worked for Triodos Bank, having returned to Bristol after a long career in advertising and marketing in London.

Jayne thrives on putting the donor at the heart of all activities in order to build a two-way relationship between the charity and the supporter – which will inevitably lead to the Hospice being able to look after more patients, families and carers. Outside work, Jayne is a keen sailor and is out on the water most weekends. When the weather keeps her on dry land, she loves cooking for her friends and family.

Fran McCloskey, Director of Finance and IT

Fran McCloskey

Fran joined St Peter’s Hospice in 2016 after working for Help for Heroes. A fully qualified chartered accountant with over 22 years’ experience, she has been in the charity sector for 12 years, operating as part of senior management teams as well as a Trustee. Her training with KPMG and subsequent roles on global acquisitions and mergers provide a solid commercial background.

Fran has helped organisations reverse significant deficits, renegotiate funding contracts, successfully defend EU claims, perform strategic reviews of
operations and build focused, capable teams. In her spare time Fran enjoys the outdoors, cooking and spending time with loved ones.

Dr Anjali Mullick, Medical Director

Dr Anjali Mullick

Anjali graduated from University of Wales College of Medicine in 2000. She pursued specialist training in Palliative Medicine in south London and became a Consultant and subsequently Clinical Lead of St Joseph's Hospice in east London. Anjali joined St Peter’s Hospice as Medical Director in 2015 and is responsible for managing our medical team and pharmacy services. She is also the Caldicott Guardian for the hospice.

She has special interests in the delivery of advanced communication skills training for other health professionals and in the care of patients with progressive neurological conditions.
