Entering a loved one's name into our beautiful, hand bound Book of Remembrance is a special way of commemorating their life. Our skilled calligrapher will inscribe each name into the Book, creating a permanent record in their memory. The Book will be available to view at each Light Up A Life service. You can also arrange a private viewing of the Book from January onwards at the Hospice in Brentry, where the Book will be stored.
A digital version of the Book will also be available to view on our website from Tuesday 3 December.
We light candles at each service to signify the names in the Book, so if you are unable to attend, your loved one’s memory will still be captured by candlelight.
"Having my wife's name inscribed in the Book of Remembrance is a tradition I like to uphold every year.
Not only is it a lovely way to honour Jackie's memory at Christmas time, but by making a donation in her name I am also helping the Hospice continue its vital work.
It is a great comfort seeing the Book at a Light Up A Life service each year. It brings back memories of the wonderful life we had together and how much we all miss her at this special time of the year."
