Frequently Asked Questions

How can I get there?

By Car

If you plan to drive, there are multiple options for parking. All of the below areas will have stewards to point you in the right direction and let you know if a car park is full. They will be able to offer other suggestions if the Mansion House Car park is full, and tell you where to catch the FREE shuttle bus services running throughout the day to and from the Mansion House.

Ashton Court Mansion House car park (via Kennel Lodge Road) and Church Lodge car park (via Weston Road, next to the Ashton Inn Pub) will be open to the public as usual. These are pay and display car parks, which charge £1.20 for the day. A FREE shuttle bus service will be running from Church Lodge car park to the Mansion House regularly throughout the day.

UWE Bower Ashton Campus on Kennel Lodge Road have kindly agreed to let us use their car parks. Both, their rear and front car parks will be accessible and a steward will be onsite. The front car park will be used specifically for blue badge holders and anyone is welcome to use our FREE shuttle bus service from this location. Please note that blue badge holders will be prioritised on the FREE shuttle service. We will be asking for a suggested donation of £1.20 for all who park at this location, as this is what visitors would pay if parking onsite at Ashton Court and these donations will help to cover the cost of our FREE shuttle bus service. Thank you.

Estune Business Park car park on Pear Tree Avenue, just off Wild Country Lane will also be providing parking with priority for blue badge holders. Another FREE shuttle bus service will be picking up and dropping off at this location regularly throughout the day. We will be asking for a suggested donation of £1.20 for all who park at this location, as this is what visitors would pay if parking onsite at Ashton Court and these donations will help to cover the cost of our FREE shuttle bus service. Thank you.

To enjoy all that our Christmas Market has to offer (mulled wine, mulled cider and our Christmas Cocktail bar) we suggest using the Travel West Journey Planner to plan your journey to Long Ashton and catch one of our FREE shuttle bus services up to the Mansion House. We expect our shuttle busses to be every 15-20 minutes going to and from the below locations, starting at 9.30am and last journeys from the Mansion House at 3.30pm.

The nearest bus stops to Ashton Court Mansion House are Clanage Road (served by X5, X3, X3A & X4) and UWE Bower Ashton Campus (71). The M2 (Metrosbus) serves the Long Ashton P&R on Weston Road. If you take this bus to Long Ashton, make your way to the Church Lodge car park (only a short walk away) and hop on our FREE shuttle bus service to take you directly to the Mansion House.

The X2, X7 and X9 busses serve the Warren Lane bus stop on Weston Road in Long Ashton, just a two minute walk to the Estune Business Park where one of our FREE shuttle bus services will be running from regularly throughout the day.

Is the site accessible?

The Christmas Market is spread across indoor and outdoor areas; visitors are advised to dress appropriately for the weather conditions on the day. The site is fully accessible with wheelchair friendly paths across Ashton Court Estate. Due to the age of the building some doorways within the Mansion House can be narrower than others, but ramps are provided throughout where needed and there are accessible toilets and baby changing facilities located in the Courtyard of the Mansion House. A buggy park and cloakroom will be available at main entrance.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are welcome on the grounds as usual, however they won't be permitted into the indoor market for safety of the dogs and market goers alike.
