Bristol International Balloon Fiesta

We are delighted to be the official charity partner of the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta for 2018 and 2019.

Last summer saw Bristol International Balloon Fiesta celebrate its 40th birthday - and what better way to have celebrated than to pick St Peter's Hospice as the Official Charity Partner for the Fiesta!

The Fiesta even saw our very own balloon kindly sponsored by Western Power Distribution and loaned by Bailey Balloons take to the skies above Bristol to raise awareness for Bristol's only adult hospice. The Hospice received incredible coverage on TV and radio and from bucket collecting to selling goods on our stands, our volunteers helped us raise an amazing £11,127 towards our Room to Care Appeal.

This year, we plan to make our presence at the Fiesta even bigger and better!

Balloon Raffle

We are going to be raffling a balloon flight which has very kindly been donated by Bailey’s Balloons. Unlike last year, we shall not be selling these tickets prior to the event but instead you will be able to buy physical tickets at the event from 12pm Thursday 8th August to  4pm Saturday 10th August.

Volunteer for us

We’ve had a fantastic response to our volunteer request so far. However there are some slots in which we are desperately short of people. On Saturday we really need people from 19:30-23:00 and on Sunday we need people 9:00-13:00 and 16:30- 21:00. We would really appreciate it if you, or your friends and family, could help us out at one of these lesser-filled times. Last year we welcomed children over the age of 6 to come along alongside their grown-ups to help too - and they were brilliant! We need volunteers for bucket collections, selling merchandise, manning our stand and setting up at the event. You will be provided with a St Peter’s Hospice T-shirt to wear and a car park pass so you can park close to the Fiesta site. If you can help, please contact Clemi Williams in our Long Ashton Fundraising office on Clemi.Williams@stpetershospice.org or call 01275 391404.
