Bristol Pegasus Motor Club celebrated the success of their first charity car run at Castle Coombe at their annual Pegasus Spring last Saturday 21st October. The Club presented us with a cheque for nearly £2,300 raised from their Coastal Classic Car Run which was held in September.
Malcolm Collier, Dave Hensley and Matthew Johnson, members of the club (pictured) below, had spent an entire year planning the event. 80kms long beautiful costal route, enjoyed by nearly 50 classic cars, led from Oakham Treasures in Portbury to Portishead, Clevedon, Cheddar Gorge and back to Portbury.
Pegasus Motor Club is a motoring club based in Bristol that provides an excellent range of events for anyone interested in cars. They organise a full range of social events including car meetings, guest speakers, trips, track days and tours, alongside sporting events suitable for standard road cars. For more details please visit their website: bristolpegasus.com.
Our special thank you goes to Oakham Treasures for their great support of the event; donating £200 and catering for participants with cups of tea and delicious home baked cakes.
All of us here at St Peter’s Hospice are absolutely delighted with such a great backing from the Club. We are already looking forward to next year’s run which will also be raising money towards our #RoomTocare Appeal so we can rebuild our Inpatient Unit.
