St Peter's Hospice and Spire Bristol have teamed up to bring you The Bristol Health & Wellbeing Fair on Saturday 9 June, 10am to 4pm at the DoubleTree Hotel by Hilton, Redcliffe. 

It's a free event for anyone interested in improving their physical and mental wellbeing. From cardio health to taboo topics for men, what to look out for on your skin to anxiety-busting workshops using the Zentangle Method and learning about relevant local services that are available for adults of all ages - this event is an interesting and fun day out for anyone interested in information and advice on all things living well.

The Fair will highlight what Bristol has to offer in the realm of health and wellbeing services and initiatives and products that encourage health, wellness and fitness. A variety of exhibitor’s stalls and workshops will be available to explore, all to encourage living well at all stages of life. 

The first 500 visitors through the door will receive a FREE Spire Bristol shopping bag packed full of relevant information and freebies, including delicious tea samples from Pukka Herbs!

There is a full schedule of speakers, providing short informational talks that can be pre-booked (limited availability, so don't miss out!). FREE WORKSHOPS at The Bristol Health & Wellbeing Fair 

10am - 12pm: Pop in for a special workshop on Mindful Origami with The Bristol Origami Society. An introduction to this beautiful Japanese art-form and how practicing activities such as origami for a few minutes a day can reduce stress and anxiety. Plus, it's fun! No booking necessary, just turn up at any time between 10am and 12pm.

10am: Chair Aerobics with Louisa Dunford. Louisa is a health, fitness and wellbeing teacher, specialising in seated exercise since 2001. She will take you through an all over body work out session of chair aerobics. Louisa offers feel good fitness for everyone to participate in and enjoy, for a happy healthy you. This 20 to 30 minute fitness workshop will show you how to be active and get fit using easy and fun exercises from a seated position. Low impact, low intensity workouts that will help sculpt the body and improve endurance. This workshop is fully accessible and all ages and fitness levels are welcome. 2pm: Sound Therapy Experience with Bards of Avalon. Bea Martin and David Johnson, are sound therapists who have been working together since 2003. Both are graduates of The British Academy of Sound Therapy, whose approach to therapeutic sound has been researched and proven to be more relaxing than other relaxation methods. They combine their voices with the sounds of Himalayan Bowls, gongs and other percussion instruments in specific combinations, creating unique soundscapes to enhance health and wellbeing. Learn about the use of tuning forks to help reduce pain and explore how sound can improve your overall wellbeing. During a sound bath taster, you can sit, fully clothed, whilst bathing in sound waves. By using sounds in particular sequences, the stress hormone cortisone is reduced, brainwave activity calms and the body gets an opportunity to rest and recharge. 1pm to 4pm: The Zentangle Method with Heather Lucy. Pop in for a lesson anytime between 1-4pm and learn this creative and beautiful method for quietening the mind and learning to relax when tired and stressed. For more information, click here.
