Being COVID-secure

We will be adapting the ride to fit with government  and local guidelines at the time of the ride, and all participants will be kept informed of what will be required.

Here’s a bit more about how we plan to make it COVID secure:

  • Start times will be staggered with participants choosing a half hour period to arrive to the start line in, and 200 riders setting off within each wave. You'll start the ride in small groups at a time.
  • Feed stations will be contactless with individually wrapped refreshments
  • There is the option of joining the Tour de Bristol: Your Ride and taking part remotely, creating your own route from home wherever you are across the UK and we'll be cheering you on all the way
  • We may need to ask for a Covid Pass: this means showing evidence that you're either fully vaccinated, have tested positive in the past 6 months and therefore have natural immunity, or have tested negative in the past 48 hours.
  • Facemasks may be required indoors, and we will keep the ride outdoors as much as possible.
  • We will have extra cleaning and hygiene procedures in place including wiping down portaloos and high contact areas, and hand sanitiser available
  • Rider numbers will be posted in advance so there will be no need to queue on the day.

"I will never forget the support and kindness of the Hospice At Home team who visited our home and helped us on our journey, hard as it was and still is. This is my way of thanking all of them." Rob cycles Tour de Bristol
