Furniture collection

How to book a free furniture collection from your home
Please complete our online donation booking form. We’ll give you a call back within 72 hours to discuss your donation and confirm your booking.  Alternatively you can call us on 0800 5830015

What we can collect
Before organising your collection please check that:

  • All furniture items are in good condition, clean and complete, and (where appropriate) that they work correctly.
  • All upholstered furniture has a fire label attached. For sets, ie a three piece suite, dining chairs etc, each individual item must have its own fire label.

What we can't collect
Due to the cost of providing a collection service we only collect furniture that is suitable for sale in our specialist shops.  Our drivers are briefed on items that are suitable so please do not be offended if we are unable to accept your donation at point of collection.  
We are unable to accept the following:

  • Items that are ripped, torn or stained.
  • White goods
  • Furniture showing evidence of woodworm.

Household items

PLEASE NOTE that we no longer offer a collection for general household items including clothing, homeware, books and toys etc.
We welcome your household donations at any one of our shops or textile banks located in Bristol and the surrounding area.

Please do not be offended if we are unable to accept certain donations due to safety or quality. The final decision is that of our van drivers when collecting.

Gift Aid Terms and Conditions

By completing and submitting the Gift Aid declaration you are confirming that you would like St Peter's Hospice to reclaim the tax on your donation(s) and confirm that you have paid at least 25p UK income tax or capital gains tax for each £1 you have donated.

By completing this form you are confirming that:

  • You are a UK taxpayer and would like St Peter’s Hospice to reclaim the tax on any donations made over the previous four years and all donations in the future. You understand that if you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all you donations in that tax year it is your responsibility to pay any difference. St Peter’s Hospice can currently claim an additional 25p for every £1 donated. 

  • You wish St Peter's Hospice Enterprises Ltd to act as your agent in selling the goods you have donated.
  • You wish St Peter's Hospice to claim tax on all donations you make 4 years prior to this date and from this date forward for all donations until you notify us otherwise.
  • You are not acting as a business in donating goods for sale in any of the shops belonging to St Peter's Hospice.
  • You will let us know of any changes to your tax details.

Before we make any Gift Aid claim we will write or email you informing you of the money raised from the sale of your donations, once enough items have been sold. You can then choose to retain or donate those proceeds to St Peter's Hospice. Any goods which cannot be sold will be recycled and cannot be returned to the donor. We reserve the right to terminate this agreement at any time.
