Inpatient Unit temporary closure and relocation

From Friday 6 October2017, our Inpatient Unit (IPU) will briefly close while it is temporarily relocated to the St Monica Trust site at The Chocolate Quarter development in Keynsham

We expect the temporary IPU, in Keynsham, to be up and running and admitting patients by week commencing 23 October 2017.

This temporary relocation will last for approximately 12 months while we redevelop the IPU at Brentry to improve facilities for patients and their families.

Although temporary, the Keynsham site will be fully staffed by the Hospice’s highly experienced multi-disciplinary team to ensure patients, and their loved ones, continue to receive the very best possible care.

During this 12 month relocation, our services in the community, through our specialist community nursing teams and hospice at home service, will continue uninterrupted, as will our advice line, which is available to both professionals and our patients 24 hours a day on: 0117 915 9430. Day Hospice and our fatigue and breathlessness management clinic will continue to run from the Brentry site, but there may be periods of temporary closure within the 12-month period due to the building work. We will keep those affected informed and publish regular updates on our website.
