A team from Zurich insurance company, alongside friends and family members, took on the challenge of walking from Bitton to Bath on Saturday 13 May.
The 19-strong group walking the 14 mile route decided to raise money for St Peter’s Hospice, with many having a personal connection.
Jamie Shute, from the Zurich office said: “We had a fabulous time walking for St Peter’s Hospice with Zurich Insurance colleagues, friends and family. The weather was fantastic and we had two pit stops along the route, both being local pubs!”
“The whole day walking from Bitton to Bath and back again was such fun and everyone got to talk to each other en-route. We met many new friends along the way and got high-fives from some very enthusiastic cyclists. We finished the day off with ice-creams at Bitton station. A fun day for a very special charity.”
The team raised £1,610.00 plus £281.25 Gift Aid with Zurich also contributing a further £500, bringing their total to an incredible £2,391.25. What a great effort!
Thank you to all involved. The care the team have helped to provide makes a real difference to our patients and their families.
