Bristol Half Marathon

2014 Bristol Half Marathon was a stunning success for the Hospice, celebrating our status as the Official Local Charity in style.

Around 300 runners took on the challenge for the Hospice, raising an expected £35,000 that will go directly towards patient care in Bristol and the surrounding area.

Thank you to all of our wonderful runners as well as our 160 marshals who volunteered their time to make the event run smoothly.

Julie Cowles, who ran with her best friend Glenda, took part in the event to raise money for the Hospice, which is caring for her mum Joy.

Jack Ashton from BBC’s Call the Midwife ran for the Hospice, having visited the Brentry site earlier in the year.

Lenny the Bear had a great run finishing in just over 3 hours (a massive thank you to Andrew Collier – his driving force!)
