The Midnight Walk is a 10 or 5 mile circular walk starting and finishing at Bristol City Football Ground in Bedminster. Hundreds of walkers will head out at 10:30pm, walking into the early hours of the morning and will pass some memorable sights of Bristol including the Clifton Suspension Bridge, Brandon Hill and SS Great Britain.
About St Peter's Hospice
St Peter’s Hospice is Bristol’s only adult Hospice caring and supporting patients in Bristol and surrounding areas with life-limiting illnesses. Our commitment is to improve the quality of life of patients while extending care and support to their families and loved ones. We provide care via teams of specialist nurses who visit patients in their own homes and also from our in-patient unit and day hospice at Brentry.
Last year we cared for over 2,000 patients and supported over 6,000 family members including children. 85% of the care was provided in patients own homes.
The cost of providing these specialist end of life services free of charge is £6.5 million per year so we rely on the support of the local community and businesses.
What your sponsorship money could pay for:
- £90 could pay for a nurse to care throught the night, giving family members much needed rest.
- £150 will enable a patient to attend Day Hospice.
- £270 could pay for an extra 24-hour care shift for a patient and their family.
