Family Support Volunteer
Experienced volunteers receive further training and, under the supervision of the Social Work team, work in the patient’s home to offer companionship and help with practical non-nursing tasks.
Bereavement Visitor
Experienced volunteers receive further training and ongoing support to provide one-to-one bereavement support to families, friends and carers in their own homes or at the hospice.
F L A G S (Family Liaison and Grief Support)
Volunteers receive specialist training and ongoing supervision to offer bereavement support to children and teenagers, and their families. They also help to run groups for bereaved children, enabling them to cope with their grief.
