Communication Skills in Cancer and Palliative Care - Level 3 and Masters Print E-mail

Do you ever ask yourself… “Did I handle that conversation as well as I might have?”

 

This well established and highly regarded module supports all health & social care professionals to address the challenges they face when communicating with individuals & families experiencing life limiting illness.

 

Relevant theoretical frameworks are used to inform communication skills practice and development, in a supportive & enabling learning environment.

Care of the Dying Person and their Family - Level 2 Print E-mail

End of Life Care - Do you wish to extend your knowledge And skills in this area?

 

This highly regarded level 2 module provides an opportunity for practitioners of all disciplines, (including qualified staff and those in supportive/Assistant Practitioner roles) working in a wide range of settings, to develop their knowledge and understanding regarding the principles of Palliative Care.

 

The module requires students to consider how these principles apply to individuals and their families affected by life imiting illness, within the students own work setting.

 

The major themes (physical, psychological, social and spiritual care) running through the programme will encourage exploration and discussion, for students wishing to enhance their care of dying people and their families.

The programme is underpinned by the universally accepted principles of palliative care.  Students are encouraged to consider how these principles apply to dying people and their families in their own work settings.  All this happens in a supportive and friendly learning environment.
