St Peter's Hospice trustees and management

How we are managed

The governing body of St Peter’s is the Board of Trustees, which typically comprises of 12 members and meets four times a year. In addition the charity is managed by the Executive Team headed by our Chief Executive.

Mr R H G Bourns
A Partner of TLT Solicitors in Bristol, specialising in employment law.  His parents were heavily involved in the establishment of the hospice and he became a Trustee in January 2003.

Treasurer
Mr P Nunnerley
Retired Director–People Development of Lloyds TSB after a long career in the retail side of the bank.  He joined the Trustees in November 2006.

Prof Karen Forbes
Currently employed by the University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust, providing clinical leadership to the Trust’s advisory palliative care team.  Became a Trustee in April 2010.

Dr R W Heath
A retired GP from Clifton and a Trustee during the 1980s.  He has maintained a constant interest in the Hospice and joined the Board again as a Trustee in 1998.

Managing Director and founder of Brabantia, now retired, became a Trustee in November 2007.

Became a Trustee in March 2008 and is currently a Consultant Respiratory and General Physician for North Bristol NHS Trust

Retired Deputy Director of Nursing for North Bristol NHS Trust, became a Trustee in November 2000.

Partner in Alder King, elected on 25th November 2003.

Mr D Walker
Retired Managing Director of Credit Suisse First Boston.  Now engaged in property and other investments.  Became a Trustee in September 2009.

Mr R Isaacs
A Partner of Milsted Langdon LLP, licensed insolvency practitioner and co-ordinates the firm’s forensic accountancy activities. Qualified as a licensed insolvency practitioner, a CEDR accredited mediator and member of the academy of experts. He became a Trustee in October 2010.
